Judy and Nick Are Back! Watch the Exciting ‘Zootopia 2’ Trailer
The new trailer reintroduces bunny cop Judy Hopps and sly fox Nick Wilde, now full-time partners in the Zootopia Police Department
Walt Disney Animation Studios unveiled the trailer for Zootopia 2, featuring the return of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. They’re now official partners, tasked with tracking down Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan, who’s causing trouble in Zootopia. The movie, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, will be released on November 26.
Zootopia 2 Trailer : Mysterious New Villain and Exciting Characters
Gary’s arrival throws the whole city off balance. Judy and Nick are sent on a chase that winds through the wild corners of Zootopia, including some spots fans have not seen before.
Along the way, the film introduces several new animal characters. Ke Huy Quan lends his voice to the menacing Gary De’Snake. Quinta Brunson voices Dr. Fuzzby, the upbeat quokka therapist guiding the duo’s counseling sessions. Fortune Feimster plays a beaver named Nibbles Maplestick. And Shakira is back as Gazelle, reprising her role from the 2016 original. Idris Elba also returns as Chief Bogo.
According to the film’s official synopsis, Judy and Nick “find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.” Their mission forces them to go undercover, pushing their already fragile partnership to the limit.
The Exciting Twists Coming This Time
The sequel is co-directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, both of whom worked on the first Zootopia film. “We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia,” Bush told People earlier this year.
“Whether it is the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes Judy and Nick will meet a lot of new friends, and discover even more about the world, themselves and a brand-new snake in town,” he added.
Zootopia 2 hits theaters on November 26.
Fan-Favorite Pair Returns as Judy and Nick in ‘Zootopia 2’
Disney has confirmed that the popular duo of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are all set to reprise their roles as ‘Judy Hopps’ and ‘Nick Wilde’ in Zootopia 2. In April 2024, Ginnifer Goodwin took to her Instagram handle to confirm that she had started recording for the film, Zootopia 2. Along with her, Jason Bateman has also returned as ‘Nick Wilde’.
A couple of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman’s interviews have made the fans excited for the film. In an interview, Ginnifer said that she hopes the sequel features a role reversal, in which ‘Nick’ is the one encouraging ‘Judy’ to continue believing in justice. On the other hand, Jason also shared that ‘Judy’ and ‘Nick’ will now work together as experienced police officers. Their interviews are generating buzz as it shows how far the characters have come from the first film and it adds to the excitement and expectations from the film.
Meet the Supporting Cast of ‘Zootopia 2’
In addition to Ginnifer and Jason, some more familiar faces will be reprising their roles in this fun film, Zootapia 2. Actors like Idris Elba and Shakira return as ‘Chief Bogo’ and ‘Gazelle’ respectively. Shakira is all set to reprise her role, but this time in a new look, song and choreography. Some members from the supporting cast will also be making their comeback, including Nate Torrence as dispatcher, ‘Clawhauser’ and Maurice LaMarche as crime boss, ‘Mr. Big’.
New Voice Talents in ‘Zootopia 2’
While a lot of familiar faces are reprising the roles, the sequel introduces a few fresh characters, which will be voiced by talented newcomers. Quinta Brunson plays ‘Dr. Fuzzby’, a friendly therapist leading police counselling sessions to help ‘Judy’ and ‘Nick’. Fortune Feimster voices ‘Nibbles Maplestick’, who is a beaver. Jean Reno also joins as ‘Bushron’, a tough goat police officer, while Ke Huy Quan voices the reptilian figure, ‘Gary De’Snake’. All these actors are expected to bring their own talent and magic in this much awaited sequel.

Familiar Voices Are Back to Bring Zootopia’s Animals to Life
Pop star Shakira is back as Gazelle, the same character she played in the first movie. Other new voice actors joining the cast include:
- Fortune Feimster as Nibbles Maplestick, a beaver.
- Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka therapist.
- Idris Elba returns as Chief Bogo.
The movie is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard — Bush also helped direct the first Zootopia. In a past statement in May, Jared Bush said they are “beyond excited” to bring fans back to the city and show new parts of Zootopia, as per the People’s report.
Bush teased the movie will explore places like marshes for semi-aquatic animals, vast deserts, and other mystery zones. Judy and Nick will meet new friends and learn more about themselves and the new snake in town, according to Bush. Zootopia 2 will be released in theaters on November 26.
The film, Zootopia released in 2016, which became a global sensation because of its amazing animation, fun storytelling and powerful social message. Zootopia introduced audiences to a city, where mammals of all kinds live together. It follows ‘Judy Hopps’, a rabbit, who becomes Zootopia‘s first rabbit cop and ‘Nick Wilde’, a fox, who becomes her partner. The first film, Zootopia was a massive success, which earned a total of over 1 billion dollars. The film also won the 2017 Oscars for Best Animated Feature.
