Indian researchers have developed a new water purification system

that is more efficient and cost-effective than traditional methods.

uses a solar-powered thermal desalination process to remove salt and other impurities from water.

The system is made up of a solar collector, a heat exchanger, and a condenser.

The solar collector uses sunlight to heat water,

which is then passed through the heat exchanger.

In the heat exchanger, the hot water is used to heat a second stream of water, which is then vaporized.

The vapor is then condensed into fresh water in the condenser.
