The Golden Sceptre was a symbol of power and authority in the Chola Empire.

It was used by the Chola kings to signify their sovereignty and their right to rule.

It was a highly prized possession of the Chola kings and was often used in religious ceremonies. 

The Golden Sceptre Sengol is a ceremonial sceptre made of gold and encrusted with precious stones.  

It was created by the Chola dynasty in the 10th century CE.

The sceptre was last used in the 13th century CE, after which it was lost. 

The sceptre was rediscovered in 2022 and is now on display in the National Museum in New Delhi.
